Head-on crash on M-26 injures two

Two drivers were injured in a head-on crash on M-26 near Painesdale on Tuesday afternoon.

At about 12:20 p.m., a 17-year-old girl lost control of her car while she was traveling north, crossed the center lane and collided with a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Painesdale man, according to the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office.

Both drivers were transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor and unknown injuries. The accident is still under investigation.

Adams Township Fire Department, First Responders, Mercy Ambulance and Superior Service assisted.
