Woman jailed after 3-vehicle accident in Hancock

At approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the Hancock Police Department was dispatched to a rollover accident on the 500 block of Quincy Street.
A vehicle driven by a 30-year-old female from Hancock was traveling west on Quincy when she left the traffic lane and struck an unoccupied pickup truck parked on the south side of the street, causing her vehicle to roll over and land on its roof. There was also a 34-year-old female passenger in the vehicle.
The pickup truck was pushed into another unoccupied vehicle parked in front of it, making this a three-vehicle accident.
The female driver was arrested at the scene for operating while intoxicated, specifically inhaling nitrous oxide, otherwise known as whippets. She was brought to Portage Hospital for examination then lodged in Houghton County Jail.
