Annual Keweenaw Brewfest a big success

The 10th Annual Keweenaw Brewfest was held at Kestner Waterfront Park in Houghton on Saturday, Sept. 7. It was an incredible time with 60 breweries sharing over 200 brews through local distributors Imperial, Pisani, and Peterlin. Classic rock was performed all day by the band Rewind, and amazing food was served up by Fitzgerald’s, Baby E’s BBQ, Vollwerth’s, and The Matador. Keweenaw Coffee Works sponsored a designated drivers table with a number of coffees. Over 1,100 attended the event raising over $41,000 for the Keweenaw Community Foundation. All proceeds raised during the event will go towards promoting our mission to inspire giving that invests in our community’s quality of life. We are amazed at the level of giving that occurs in our area, and we could not function without the community’s support.
