HANCOCK – UP Health System – Portage has announced Tracey Bershing as the new Director of Physician Services.

Bershing has been with UP Health System – Portage for 17 years, starting as a Retail Staff Pharmacist in 2002. She has worked in various staff and leadership roles, including Inpatient Staff Pharmacist, Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor and most recently, taking on the dual role of Director of Inpatient Pharmacy and Director of Physician Services.

Bershing received her Bachelor of Pharmacy from Ferris State University and Masters of Business Administration from Michigan Technological University. She is also a member of the Michigan Pharmacist Association and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

When asked what she will look forward to most about starting this new position, Bershing stated, “I am excited to join the Physician Practice setting and to continue efforts with the dedicated team at UP Health System – Portage to provide high-quality healthcare for our community in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.”
