Park supervisor Mike Knack and DNR regional field planner Eric Cadeau performed a post-storm performance review of the entire 2,480-feet limit of shoreline armoring performed by the DNR and in conjunction with the Ontonagon County Road Commission.

It appears that the armoring performed by the DNR & Ontonagon County Road Commission earlier this summer and fall sustained little to no damage from the recent storms. The photos attached show a significant representation of the shoreline armoring post storm. The photos were taken approximately 200 feet apart from each other. Please compare these photos to the eroded areas which occurred west of the armoring for contrasting effect.
