MI AG, DIFS investigation results in felony charges against medical supplier

LANSING – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has charged a Florida medical supplier with several crimes, including insurance fraud, for allegedly operating in Michigan without proper licensing. David Winter, 51, of Boca Raton, owner and operator of GTV Networks (GTV), is accused of illegally dispensing durable medical equipment and billing Michigan auto insurers for equipment that was not actually dispensed. DNR seeks public input for Lake Gogebic walleye and northern pike regulations

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources invites the public to meet virtually to discuss changes to walleye and northern pike regulations for Lake Gogebic on Sept. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT. In 2016, regulations for Lake Gogebic were adjusted to allow anglers to possess up to two walleye between 13 and 15 inches as part of the daily possession limit of five walleye. New “Notify Me” feature alerts you if camping opportunities open at state parks

Just in time for Labor Day holiday weekend, the new "Notify Me" feature on the Michigan State Park & Harbor Reservations website lets you sign up for an email notification when a site becomes available for selected dates. It's easy! If the campground, overnight lodging facility or shelter you’re looking for is full, click on the "Notify Me" button for the dates you've selected in your search. Then, just follow the prompts and you'll receive an email notification when a reservation opens up.

Michigan Tech Archives fall hours

HOUGHTON — The Michigan Technological University Archives and Copper Country Historical Collections will continue to operate on a by-appointment basis during the Fall 2021 semester (Aug. 30 to Dec. 17), with expanded hours to include appointments on Mondays. Appointments may be scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Requests for appointments must be confirmed by staff at least one business day prior to the desired time and are subject to availability.
