Dennis Alan Koistinen

Dennis was born in Ontonagon on September 11, 1982, the son of Gary Koistinen and the late Lori (Binkley) Koistinen.

He graduated from Ontonagon High School in 2001. After graduation, he worked at the Porcupine Mountain State Park, where he met Shannon Roehm.

Dennis then moved to Las Vegas with Shannon, where he attended UNLV and received his Certified X-ray Technology Degree in 2011. He returned to Ontonagon for a short time and was employed at Ontonagon Hospital.

On August 6, 2011, Dennis and Shannon were united in marriage and moved to LaCrosse, Wisconsin. They loved their new home and on October 16, 2013, they welcomed a baby girl, Irelyn.

Dennis enjoyed his time with his daughter and his wife, Shannon. Their visits back home were also enjoyed with friends and family.

Dennis will be dearly missed by his wife, Shannon (Roehm) Koistinen; his daughter, Irelyn; his father, Gary Koistinen; brother, David Koistinen; aunt and uncle, Audie and Donna Bitschenauer; his cousin, Heidi Bitschenauer; father and mother-in-law, Scott and Cherie Roehm; grandparents, Al and Doreen Binkley; grandparents-in-law, James and Gretchen Brogan; grandmother, Yvonne Roehm; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Lindsay Roehm; and all of his many cousins, extended family and friends.

At the request and honor of Dennis, no services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to: Miners Bank, 601 River St., Ontonagon, MI 49953 in care of Irelyn Koistinen.
