Jeremy Chad Kuivanen

MILFORD – Jeremy Chad Kuivanen, 42, of Milford, passed away suddenly to eternal life on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at St. John’s Providence Hospital in Novi.

He was born to Chadwick and Myrna Kuivanen on September 6, 1973, in Hancock.

Jeremy married the love of his life, Laurie Jarvi, on July 27, 1996, in Tapiola. Together they were the “home team”, working together in their lives and careers.

Jeremy graduated with honors from Houghton High School in 1991. He continued his studies and graduated from Michigan Technological University with a degree in mechanical design engineering technology in 1993.

Jeremy worked in the automotive engineering field for 20 years, before fulfilling his lifetime dream and passion of designing and building custom furniture.

Preceding him in death are his mother, Myrna (Peterson) Kuivanen; grandparents, Helmer and Saima Peterson.

Surviving our dear Jeremy is his beloved wife, Laurie; his loving companion, their little dog, Nisu; his parents, Chadwick and Eleanore “Elly” Kuivanen of Tapiola; sisters, Sheri (Jan) Juntunen, Pammi (Allen) Washuleski of Tapiola, Lynne Kuivanen of Hubbell; brother, Jeffery Kuivanen of Gwinn; Laurie’s parents, Allen and Donna Jarvi of Chassell; brother-in-law, Ross (Lynn) Jarvi of Chassell and Craig (Julie) Jarvi of Farmington; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jeremy was the most cherished and loved husband, son, brother and friend that anyone could ever hope to know. He set an example of how we should live our lives in love, compassion and caring for others.

We will always love you Jeremy, with all of our hearts. Until we see you again in Heaven’s glory, may God be with you.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, at Our Savior Apostolic Lutheran Church, 54899 8 Mile Rd., Northville, 48167. Receiving of Friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m.
