Walfred M. Moilanen
PORTAGE TOWNSHIP – Walfred M. Moilanen, 87, passed away recently at his home in Portage Township.
He was born on March 29, 1929, at Onkalo’s Corner, the son of the late Edward Jalmer and Mary Josephine (Onkalo) Moilanen.
Walfred served as a Private E-2 in WWII.
He is survived by his sister, Edna.
Besides his parents; Walfred was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Edward “Willy” and Walter Moilanen.
Arrangements for cremation are being handled by the Mountain View Mortuary of South Range, Antila Funeral Service, Inc.
Burial will be in the Veteran’s Section at the South Range Cemetery.
