Robert G. Myers

He was born on August 6, 1942, a son of William Myers and Lucretia (Noye) Myers. He attended Sacred Heart School in Calumet, then Lake Linden Hubbell High School before entering the Navy in 1961.

After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Robert worked in manufacturing in the Ypsilanti area until 1976, when he and his wife, Mary Pat, moved to Hubbell and purchased Bob’s Party Store. Robert operated the store for 40 years until his retirement in 2016.

He married Mary Patricia Buschell in May of 1964. They were married for 52 years. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 90 in Lake Linden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Julie Myers; sister, Carol Myers; and step brother, Grant Myers.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pat Myers of Lake Linden; two sons, Robert (Mary) of Lake Linden and Joseph (Michele) of Tamarack City; sister, Pat Stahl of Laurium; an aunt, Phyllis Brodock of Lansing; four grandchildren, Zac, William, Anthony and Patrick; and also several nieces of nephews.

A graveside American Legion ceremony will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery at noon on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Family and friends will gather immediately afterward at the Lake Linden Campground pavilion for a luncheon.

The Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Robert’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospitals.
