Allen W. Larson

Allen was born on March 3, 1947, to Wilbert R. Larson and Ida M. Anderson.

He graduated from Ewen High School with the class of 1966 and attended Northern Michigan University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in teaching.

Allen was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Paynesville.

He worked for the Ontonagon Valley Co-op Creamery until there closure and then the Settlers Co-op, Inc. for the past 12 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, astronomy, reading and going to Char’s Cafe.

Allen is survived by his brother, Marvin (Karen) Larson of Bruce Crossing; three nephews, David (Jodi) Larson of Mattawan, Karl (Georgeann) Larson of Hancock and Alexander Larson of Bruce Crossing; and two grand-nieces, Marin and Aria Larson of Mattawan.

Visitation for Allen will be on Friday, September 7, 2016, at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Paynesville from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Taivalkoski to officiate.

The Cane Funeral Home of Bruce Crossing is assisting the family.
