Rose M. Mavronicolas
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Rose M. Mavronicolas, 85, of Austintown, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Meridian Arms Living Center in Youngstown.
She was born on December 23, 1931, in Calumet, a daughter of the late Stephen and Rose (Kriach) Danis.
Rose and her husband Andrew owned Handy Andy’s Restaurant in North Versailles, Pennsylvania, for many years before closing in 1995, due to Andy’s passing.
Rose was a kind soul, that enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family.
Rose is survived her by son, Stephen (Janet) Hartley of Austintown; two grandchildren, Casey Hartley and Brett Hartley; and two brothers, Stephen Danis and Robert Danis; and one sister, Shelly Hahn all of Calumet.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Andrew Mavronicolas whom she married in May 1977; her parents; and brother, Gary Danis.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Meridian Arms Living Center for the exceptional care and compassion given to Rose during her stay at their facility.
