Cheryl Marie Ditty

She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1949. She was the daughter of Joseph and Greta Strauss. She graduated from Regina High School in 1967.

She was united in marriage to Mike Ditty on February 14, 1970. She lived in San Diego with her husband for four years before moving back to Minnesota. In 2005 they moved to Jacobsville to own and operate the Jacobsville (Portage River) Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast.

She enjoyed reading and boating on Lake Superior with her husband. She was also a childcare worker for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Don Strauss.

She is survived by her spouse, Mike Ditty of Jacobsville; her sons, Bill Ditty of Lansing, Mike (Brenda) Ditty of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Jacob and Emily; her great great grandchildren, Ella and Ava; her brothers, Tim (Jeri) Strauss of Cambridge, Minnesota, Tom (Julie) Strauss of Minneapolis; her sisters, Suzy Strauss of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Tricia of Bellingham, Washington.

A Celebration of Life for Cheri will be held at the Jacobsville Community Heritage Center on Saturday, September 28, 2019, starting with visitation at 5 p.m., prayers at 6 p.m with reception immediately following until 8 p.m.
