Myrna (Wirtanen) Oja

Mryna worked at Michigan Bell, Superior Manufacturing, Riches Market, and worked in housekeeping at several local hotels.

Mryna enjoyed making pasties and blueberry pies. She loved spending time with her family and friends, listening to music and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Fenton Oja; her son, Steven Joyal; her parents, Edward and Lydia Wirtanen; her sister, Myra Walman; and daughter-in-law, Trish Joyal.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Mark Stimic) Huuki, and Donna (Joe) Kotaniemi; her sons, Jerry Joyal, Martin (Wendy) Joyal, Lee Joyal; her dog, Beezer; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per Mryna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service was held at the Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.

Arrangements are being handled by the Jukuri-Antila Funeral Home of Hancock, Antila Funeral Service, Inc.
