Ruth Ann ‘Frankie’ Arsenault

ALANSON — Ruth Ann “Frankie” Arsenault, 68, of Alanson, formerly of Houghton, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

Born in Marquette, on June 9, 1951, Frankie was the daughter of Peter and Nancy (Wood) Arsenault. She grew up in Munising and Marquette, graduating from Marquette High School in 1969. In 1970 she moved to Houghton where she lived until she moved to Alanson, in 2005. Frankie always loved Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and continued to enjoy her visits there.

Frankie worked as a caregiver in Adult Foster Care Homes for many years, retiring in June of 2016. She loved listening to a wide variety of music types, attending concerts and playing the organ and piano. Frankie also enjoyed crocheting, collecting agates, and reading. She enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and making many new friends on social media where she made some great friends with similar interests that meant the world to her.

Surviving are her children, Brandy Wade of Alanson, Jason (Kristin Riutta) Wade of Houghton and Christopher (Tiffany) Wade of San Dimas, California; grandchildren, Anthony, Andrea and Hailey; brothers, David Arsenault and Michael (Linda) Arsenault of Escanaba; four nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Thera, who was like a sister to her.

In keeping with her wishes, Frankie’s family will remember her privately.
