Carol Marie Edwards
OKEMOS — Carol Marie (Naasko) Edwards, 75, passed away January 24, 2021, following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Medilodge of Okemos for the last couple of years.
Carol was born on April 8, 1945, the second child of nine born to the late Reino and Tyne (Lammie) Naasko. She attended the Heikkinen School and was a 1963 graduate of Jeffers High School in Painesdale.
Carol loved living on the Oregon coast, where she lived for many years before coming back to Michigan.
Carol is survived by a daughter, Kim of Charlotte, Michigan; a son, Curtis of White Lake, Michigan; two sisters and two brothers, Marilyn (Dave) Turcotte of Tucson, Arizona, Russell (Julie) Naasko of Kalkaska, Michigan, Lois (Stephen) Dooley of Sumner, Washington, and Daniel Naasko of Tracy, California; a brother- in-law, Phillip Durbin of Greer, South Carolina; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by brothers, Richard, Ronald, Ray; and her, sister, Linda Durbin.
There will be a memorial service sometime at the end of summer in Toivola with interment in the Toivola Cemetery. Local arrangements are being handled by the Mountain View Mortuary of South Range, Antila Funeral Service, Inc.
