Robert W. Wade

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Robert W. Wade, 90, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021, surrounded by family.

He was born on September 9, 1930, in Calumet, to John and Phyllis Wade.

Bob graduated from Calumet High School, class of 1949. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and then graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1959.

Bob was united in marriage to Betty Medved, on June 27, 1959.

He was employed at Northern Michigan Water Company, then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he worked for A C Sparkplug. Bob and Betty were able to move back to Calumet in 1965 when he became employed at Michigan Tech, retiring from there after 25 years. At that time, he became owner of Wade’s Chevy, Olds & Cadillac until retiring a second time in 1993.

Bob and Betty moved to Green Bay in 1997 to be close to family. Bob was an avid Packer fan and was a season ticket holder since 1962.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughter, Lynn (Dale) Posvic; granddaughter, Jordan (fiance, Dillon Davidson) Posvic with whom he had a special bond. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Turner and Kathy (Jim) Jaaskelainen; nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Phyllis Wade; and his special aunt, Margaret Julio.

In accordance with Robert’s wishes, a private service will be held. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet.
