Thomas Arvo Kamppinen

BALTIC — Thomas Arvo Kamppinen went to his heavenly home on March 12, 2021. Tom was beloved by all; a gentle soul, who will be dearly missed.

He was born December 15, 1935, in Baltic. He graduated from Jeffers High School and eventually moved with his family to Brown Deer, Wisconsin, where he was a machinist for 40 years at Milwaukee Wire.

Tom loved bowling and traveled the states competing in many tournaments. He also loved country music and Bob Sieger. Tom was an avid deer hunter and liked to hunt goose with his friend, “Stormin Norman.”

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mary; his sister, Patricia Savola (Tom); and brother, Robert Kamppinen. He is also survived by his three sons, Steven Kamppinen (Lori), Gary Kamppinen (Renee), and Robert Kamppinen (Sandy); along with step-daughters, Doris Reed and LeAnn Clark (Dennis); seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom wishes to spend eternity among the pine trees up in the U.P. Memorial service to follow at a later date in the U.P.
