Joseph Robert Krainatz
CALUMET — Joseph Robert Krainatz, 69, passed peacefully at his home on July 21, 2021, after a three-year battle with cancer.
“Jojo” was born on November 7, 1951.
He graduated from Calumet High School in 1970.
He went on to proudly serve in the Sixth Army until he was honorably discharged in 1972 as a specialist.
He worked in the construction field all his life including roofing, concrete, and earthwork.
He found joy in music, gardening, sports, and classic cars. Jojo was known for his quick wit, contagious smile, compassionate spirit, helping hand, story telling and vast knowledge of local history.
Jojo was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Victoria (Pintar) and his brother, Louis.
He is survived by his three sons Joseph, Christopher and George; grandson, Shane; sister Tudi; partner, Sue, and many cousins.
No funeral or memorial services are scheduled at this time. Ryan Funeral Home is serving the family.
