Phillip Switzer

Phillip was born in Flint on October 10, 1949, to Mary Lou Switzer.

He graduated high school and attended one year of college before starting a career with General Motors company.

On July 22, 1972, he married the love of his life, Barbara Pelland and he faithfully stayed by her side until his passing. After retiring from General Motors, he and Barbara moved to Mohawk where he spent the rest of his life. During his time in Mohawk he became a master chip carver.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, Basil and Mary Lou Switzer; his sister’s, Jane and Lynette, and his brother Calvin.

Phillip is survived by his wife; Barbara (Pelland) Switzer; son, Mark (Brenda) Switzer of Copper City, and his daughter; Kimberley A. Gilbert of Calumet, and his four grandchildren.
