Gloria jean Reitz

She was born on May 19, 1947, in Fond du Lac, WI, the daughter of Ruben and Alice (Galle) Reitz.

Gloria Jean graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy and earned her degree from Dr. Martin Luther College.

She was an elementary school teacher for over twenty years.

Gloria Jean was a long-time member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac and more recently, Peace Lutheran of Houghton, MI.

She was involved in the Ladies Society and sang in the church choir for many years. She was also a leader with Wonder Workers 4-H club.

She enjoyed miniature dachshunds and loved everything purple.

Survivors include one son, Timothy (Lisa) Reitz; one granddaughter, Flora; one grandson, Woodland; her siblings, Ronald Reitz, Dennis (Kathleen) Reitz, Gail (Leo) Anthony, and Roxana (Douglas Fields) Reitz; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerome Reitz and sister-in-law Susana Reitz. Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 3PM. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to Peace Ev. Lutheran Church in Houghton, MI. Services are in the care of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935.
