Charlene Sundberg Cation

Charlene Sundberg Cation, a loving mother and wife, passed away peacefully Feb. 28, 2023, at 93 years old.

Charlene was born to Edythe and Edwin Sundberg Nov 1, 1929, in Copper City, Michigan. Her brothers were Burt and Ward Sundberg.

After graduating Calumet High in 1948 she lived in the Detroit area, Houston, TX, and Florida. Charlene married William (Bill) Cation in 1953 and had four children. They were married for 56 years until his passing.

Charlene’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a sweet, compassionate, friendly person who loved walking, reading, being around the ocean and traveling. She especially loved cruises and took many around the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Charlene belonged to Bell Shoals Church of Christ.

She is survived by her four children Kevin, Kerrie, Kellie, Kurt, daughter in law Jocelyn and brother Ward.

Her burial will be in Florida’s National Cemetery alongside her late husband.

In remembrance of Charlene’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the American Heart Association.
