Robert Warmington
July 9, 1937 – May 15, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert E. Warmington on May 15, 2025.
Robert was born to Harry and Eleanor (Ryan) Warmington in Hancock, MI on July 9, 1937.
Bob was a veteran of the US Navy then joined the Michigan State Police in 1963. Bob worked as a trooper then as an undercover detective in the narcotics and organized crime units. He made many good friends during his service and remained in touch with fellow retirees over the years. After retiring, he worked another 20 years as a senior investigator for the Accident Fund. Bob loved traveling with his wife Mary, golfing, gardening, reading the newspapers, and watching TV.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary (Lahikainen) in 2024. Bob is survived by their four daughters: Jean, Jayne Allen, Kathy, (Christopher) Dimitruck, and Sandra. Bob enjoyed his grandchildren Andy (Emily), Elly (Hamza), Anna, Boreas, and Maxxamillian and took great delight in his great grandchildren Zoey and Aidan. Robert also leaves behind his sister Judy Gauthier and sister in-law Nancy King as well as many nephews and nieces. Robert will be missed by his beloved dogs Tipper and Snuffy.
Bob and his wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed. As was his request, there will be no services. In honor of Bob, go out and enjoy a pitcher of Margaritas with friends!
