The Chassell Old Fashioned Christmas committee extends a heartfelt thank you to the many individuals and organizations who helped to make our 2021 celebration a success.

Steve Spahn and the staff and students for their help with the craft show, home tour and visit with Santa. Teach Josh Normand for organizing the Ornament Contest at the school. The Chassell School for allowing use for the building for the very popular Craft Show. Tim Viola of the General Store for helping to sell tickets for the House Tour. Eric, Jake and Wade Zadorecky for the time and energy put into the wonderful tree lighting dedication in memory of Beth. The many residents and businesses for their generous monetary donations.

The Wascher Farm for the wonderful sleigh rides. David Bezotte and friends for the lovely music at the tree lighting. The four homeowners who graciously shared their beautiful homes on the House Tour. The local businesses and restaurants that donated delicious food for the House Tour. The volunteers from the Chassell Heritage Center who helped decorate for Santa’s visit and volunteered during the Open House and with clean up afterward. The Chassell residents who participated in the Outdoor Lighting and Decorating contest.

Judy Evert, Marvel Wilson and Jeannie Hazellief for providing refreshments for the tree lighting ceremony. The CHO current and former board members for the cookies for the children to decorate. The judges who donated their time to the Lighting Contest. The businesses and individuals who donated door prizes for the House Tour. The Keweenaw Country Store for providing free coffee and pastries. Jim Lassila for the special role he played. Yvonne Robillard at the Daily Mining Gazette for the excellent coverage of our event.

Old Fashioned Christmas has been held in Chassell since 1980. It would not be possible with the generous support of so many residents and businesses. We are happy to be back after a one year pause due to the pandemic. We will see you in 2022!
