Magazine article brings attention to U.P. issue

The New Yorker, one of the most prestigious publications in the United States, turned its attention recently to the controversial proposed vertical-launch facility that would be located on private property in Powell Township near Lake Superior. The lengthy article was written by David Rompf, whose articles and essays have appeared in many notable publications such as The New York Times and Newsweek. Thank you, graduates

Last weekend, Michigan Tech University and Finlandia University both sent out a new set of graduates into the world at large. Both sets of graduates, for the most part, have had four-or-more years in the area, where they spent their time studying, enjoying the local outdoor spaces, and sitting down in our local restaurants, or at least driving through them, if time did not allow for sitting. U.S. Post Office documentation educational, fun

It might be called when history met entertainment. Photographer Cade Musich, however, is referring to a project he took on to document all of the post offices in the Upper Peninsula through digital photography as “Keep. Me. Posted.” With over 127 post offices photographed across the U.P., the project has officially concluded.
