Obama’s change is all negative

To the editor:

Kudos to Obama. While campaigning, he vowed to change America and he has – negatively – perhaps forever.

Comic character Pogo possum correctly stated back in the 1970s, “We have met the enemy and he is us,” which speaks volumes about mankind’s deplorable human condition.

William Gladstone (1809-1898), four-time prime minister of Great Britain, once held the Quran above his head in Parliament and declared, “As long as there is this book, there will be no peace in the world.”

America’s indebtedness, nearing $20 trillion, looms large before us. Henry Ford (1863-1947) said, “It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system. For if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow.”

With both purposeful anti-Americanism and refusing to call out America’s enemies, Obama has clearly enabled ISIS radical terrorists to get a foothold in the United States. Are we prepared for the tsunami of terrorism that will soon be unleashed in this country?

Currently the National Geographic TV channel is exploring a series called “Original Sin: Sex.” Wrong. The original sin was disobedience to God (Gen 3:6-7). In fact the root of all sin is doubting God’s Word.

God designed man and woman to procreate. The biggest social problem in America is the lack of godly fathers and intact families. The biggest problem is sin – all kinds of sin. I would suggest that most of the protesters and troublemakers who are destroying major U.S. cities grew up in broken families, unwanted and unloved, resulting in anger and violence without much conscience. No excuse – they can still choose right over wrong. But their rebellion attracts attention, doesn’t it?

Dear readers, there is a family you can belong to where you’ll always be loved, i.e., the family of God. Repent of all wrong behavior, trust Christ as Lord and Savior, and live each day the best you can in following his teachings.
