The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country (LWVCC) in cooperation with the Daily Mining Gazette, will be printing the Voter Guide again this year. The scheduled publishing date for the Voter Guide to publish is Tuesday, October 16.

Letters to 82 Candidates from Houghton and Keweenaw County were sent out on September 1st. The candidates are expected to return their questionnaires by U.S. mail to P.O. Box 815, Houghton or by Email: cclwvmi@gmail.com by Tuesday, September 25th. If a candidate running for election this November 6th did not receive an official letter and questionnaire from the LWV, please contact the LWV at 483-2291. All candidates are expected and encouraged to return their questionnaires, by the deadline of September 25th. Uncontested races with no response may not be published.

The Voter Guide will be available in the October 16th edition of the Daily Mining Gazette and available in limited quantities at various public sites throughout Houghton and Keweenaw County, after the 18th.

The League of Women Voters is a national nonpartisan organization whose purpose is to promote political responsibility through the informed and active participation of citizens in government.
