Friends of the Library sale

To the editor:

The Friends of the Calumet Public Library held our 2019 Annual Book Sale on June 22, 2019 which was very successful.

We would like to thank the people who came to our sale and purchased books.  All the money raised will be used to benefit the CLK Public School Library.

We would also like to thank the donors of the books, and the dedicated volunteers who sorted books, hauled them to storage, set up the sale, staffed the sale, and hauled unsold books away.

CLK Schools provided a venue for the sale and custodial support before and after the sale.  We would like to thank Honora Mason, Library Director, and Matt Hampton, CLK Elementary Principal, for making the arrangements with the school.

We would like to thank the following businesses for their support:

Dan Riutta Contracting who provided 2 months of book storage space

Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and Pat’s IGA of Calumet who provided boxes for packing books.

River Valley Bank, Americinn, Range Bank, Great Lakes Mutual Insurance Company, and the Daily Mining Gazette for advertising our sale.

Please “Like” Friends of the Calumet Library on Facebook and come to the many programs & book discussions that we present in the CLK Library Community Room.
