Kermit’s Halloween Party

To the editor:

On October 18, the Kermit’s Keweenaw Kids Youth Program held their Annual Halloween Party. The kids enjoyed pizza, assorted treats, games, a costume contest, candy scramble, a raffle, music by D.J. Jaime Gariepy, as well as a dance performance by the Kermit’s Keweenaw Kids Dance Group. 🙂 This event was made possible with help from parents and volunteers, donations from community members and local businesses, as well as contributions from our summer Golf Scramble Fundraiser. Thank you to the Village of Ahmeek for the use of the hall, and Hillary Maninga for being the hall coordinator. A special thanks to Pastor Tim and those from Bethany Lutheran’s Faithful Innovations Team who came out to lend a hand! We appreciate all of you! A heartfelt thanks to those who helped out with donations, decorating, games, working the kitchen, judging costumes, and the after the party tear-down:

Zander Abramson, Liz Anderson, Susan Cronenworth & Kaden Cronenworth, Ava Futrell, Jaime Gariepy, Dianne Goulette, Sharon Grieger, Debbie Harri, Eric & Marcy Hermanson, Hillary Maninga, Jasmine Melton, Mark McEvers, Jack Sever, Nathan & Shurry Rollo-Ritzko, Mollia & Stanley, Waylon Spelich, Colleen Thompson & the members of the Girl Scout Troup, Paul & Renee Tuoriniemi, Carol Yowell, Dennis Engman

Local Businesses: Hancock Bottling, Pat’s IGA, Subway, Walmart

Thank you to those additional parents who brought treats! My apologies for anyone whose name I may have missed. Again, your contributions make this possible. On behalf of Kermit’s Keweenaw Kids, thanks so much!
