You got mail
To the editor:
Hello, I have a hint for those of you with a rural mailbox. It’s always a question of whether or not you got mail today and you have to go to the box to check only to find out there’s nothing.
Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to know?
Here’s what I have tried and it works: Pinch a leaf by it’s stem near the hinge point of the door! When the door has been opened by the mailman the leaf falls away telling you that “you got mail.”
