To the editor:

Welcome to fascist America. The sending of uninvited, unidentified, camouflaged-wearing Federal troops to quell a peaceful protest is the hallmark of a fascist/Nazi tactic. And the clueless president is threatening to do more of the same.

Clearly, with an election coming up, he wants to take the emphasis away from his disastrous leadership against the COVID-19 pandemic and promote the idea that he is a strong leader who protects the people from the evil radical leftists. He is constantly promoting himself: pretending religiousness in a photo-op, kowtowing to other dictators, attacking the news media that he doesn’t like, name-calling opponents like a school yard bully, trying to squelch publication of perceived unflattering books, releasing convicted loyalists from prison, threatening to withdraw funds from schools, antagonizing our friends overseas, tweeting constant nonsense, making misleading or false statements around 20,000 times, adding to the swamp with dozens of indictments in his administration, and endangering the planet by de-regulating important environmental safeguards.

All this is characteristic of a narcissistic sociopath. The good news is that his troops are not wearing brown shirts with swastikas. It’s time to make America sane again.
