Dear Copper Country Community Members,

Thank you for the generous support for the Barkell Elementary PTO Playground Project Can Drive on Saturday, July 18th. With the help of our gracious volunteers who sorted through over 23,000 cans and bottles and generous cash donations, we were able to raise $3,527.99 toward the playground project.

Our supporters included:

— Barkell Elementary Teachers and Support Staff

— Barkell Elementary PTO and Parents

— Hancock Public Schools Administration

A special thank you to a teacher’s spouse who transported the bags of cans and bottles to Pepsi in Houghton in his truck and trailer.
