To the editor:

The Waterfront Redevelopment Citizens’ Group would like to thank all of the

citizens of Houghton who voted YES to postpone the sale of the parking deck property in the August 4 primary election.

It is hoped the proposal’s overwhelming support will convince the Houghton City Council of the community’s desire to join them in the decision making process of whether to sell the Lakeshore Drive parking deck property and to explore other

development opportunities besides the one presently under consideration.

Please continue to participate as we work together to ensure the best outcome for the City of Houghton.
