To the editor:

It appears the Democrats are emulating Joseph Goebbels who said, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Following Adolf Hitler’s suicide, Goebbels, a virulent anti-Semite, served as chancellor of Germany for a single day before he and his wife, Magda, poisoned their six children and took their own lives.

“Let us not forget that violence does not and cannot flourish by itself; it is inevitably intertwined with lying…Nothing screens violence except lies, and the only way lies can hold out is by violence. Whosoever has once announced violence as his method must inevitably choose lies as his principle . . . Let the lie come into the world, even dominate the world, but not through me.” Alexander Solzhenitsyn, 1970 Nobel address.

Why lie? Why not admit that you’ve chosen your political positions because that’s where the donor money is? Why not admit that you want open borders because you hate America and want to destroy freedom . . . with you in power?

Liars become what they do, and despite their supposed intellectual autonomy, they are simply the Devil’s minions. As Scripture teaches, this world’s rulers see themselves as gods, but are, unknowingly (or sometimes knowingly), subject to the principalities and powers of the air, under the authority of “the god of this world.”

The lockdown and mandated mask wearing due to coronavirus is mega government overreach. CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield warned during a medical presentation in July that deaths from suicides and drug overdoses currently exceed deaths due to the COVID-19.

Also, there are 10 times as many alcohol-related deaths as COVID-19 in college-age kids in America (thegatewaypundit.com). Suicide, alcohol, and drugs are reaching many high school students as well.

As police are suppressed by Democrat mayors and governors, lawless agitators, murderous thugs, and anarchists (ANTIFA) are emboldened as they tear down and burn whole city areas.

The much worse disease than COVID-19 is sin. The cure is the cross of Jesus Christ. “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corin 6:2
