Oh, Black Water

To the editor:

In response to the letter in the DMG titled “Fascism in America” by David Keranen. First, I would like to thank David for the inspiration he has been to me in writing letters to the editor for the last 15 years. It’s been fun.

Being an independent thinker and voter all my life, my opinion is my own, not from a political party or some social media outlet like Facebook or some nut job cult like Qanon. Everything I say about President Trump is from his mouth or tweets he displays it on T.V. daily.

When I first saw a story on T.V. about Trump sending unmarked troops into Portland, Oregon, and other cities, I was reminded of a book I read a few years ago called Black Water. Black Water was the name of a company owned by Eric Prince from Lower Michigan. His sister is Betsy DeVos, Trump’s Secretary of Education.

Eric Prince’s company hires ex-military men from all over the world to train and form independent mercenary the armies to be hired by any country that may not want to use their own army to do their “dirty” jobs. The U.S. hired many of them during the Iraq War. In Iraq they were called “contractors.” The company has since changed their name.

Trump said he has 70,000 of these very tough men that he can send into cities to get the job done if the mayors won’t do their job; that is to remove those people burning and looting.

Then I read a book on how some dictators take over countries. Dictators control the media, repeat lies and deceptions over and over. Diversion is always good if you’re losing control, then form your own little militia. All this is while you hire “yes” men and women that are loyal to the point they will go to prison rather than betray their master.

We have a president that will do anything to get reelected, any nut job group or dictator that says they are for him or likes him, Trump will not denounce them. I believe Trump, like Putin, the “Rocket Man,” and the leader of China, would all like to be presidents for life.

Trump served the rich long enough. Let us fire him in November.
