To the editor:

As a Deputy Clerk at the Township level, I am extremely familiar with Michigan elections and how many details are involved with overseeing and ensuring everything is taken care of properly as well as the many other responsibilities that are put on the Clerk’s desk. While a County Clerk has different responsibilities on their desk, they are extremely important and very abundant.

I have watched Justin Kasieta go above and beyond in everything he does since I met him when he became the Vice Chair of the Copper Country Republican Party. He has done everything that I can see to quickly learn and properly handle his responsibilities as well as further educate himself on how to improve the local party’s functionality.

Elected officials have a host of rules and regulations guiding what their position entails. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Justin Kasieta would manage these daily demands with precision and ease. I have complete confidence that Justin Kasieta would quickly learn and handle the position of Houghton County Clerk properly.
