HANCOCK — Jonah Hunter has committed to play for the Finlandia University baseball team.

Hunter, of Fort Worth, Texas, joins Nick Savoie (Iowa, La.) and Jacob Wade (Southaven, Ms.) in the second wave of the 2021 recruiting class. There are 10 total players so far in the class.

“Jonah has amazing upside and shows the ability to pitch to good hitting,” Finlandia head coach Evan Brandt said. “He will be a guy we rely regularly on as he has thrown in good competition for a long time in Texas. Jonah will be a very competitive pitcher for us and develop very quickly with coach Purdy. I am excited to see Jonah get on the mound and develop over four years at Finlandia.”
