PLYMOUTH — Calumet reached its first state finals since 2017 with a 3-0 win against Chelsea in Friday’s MHSAA Division 3 state semifinals.

The Copper Kings (16-0-1) meet Cranbrook Kingswood at 3 p.m. Saturday for the state championship at the USA Hockey Arena. Calumet’s last state championship was 2008, and finished runner-up in 2011 and 2017.

Seth Coppo scored three minutes into the third with assists from Lukas Pfau and Sturos. Jackson Rilei sealed the game with an unassisted goal with four minutes remaining.
