Dollar Bay-TC’s Hill commits to Finlandia

Former Dollar Bay-Tamarack City High School basketball standout Davin Hill is officially a Finlandia Lion.

The university announced Monday evening Hill will play for the Lions after a season at Bay College, in Escanaba.

Hill played 19 games for the Norse, and scored 42 points in 168 minutes on the floor. He shot 13 of 53 (24.5%) from the field including 9 of 37 (24.3%) on 3-pointers.

At Dollar Bay-TC, Hill averaged 17.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. He was All-Copper Mountain Conference Elite, and an All-UP Division 4 First Team selection. He was also named a Division 4 All-State honorable mention.

Hill also helped the Blue Bolts win two conference championships and back-to-back Division 4 state semifinal appearances.

Hill’s career record at Dollar Bay-TC was 81-12, and he scored 1,085 points.

“Davin was one of the best local players his senior year at Dollar Bay,” Finlandia head coach Allen Dehority said. “I’m thrilled to have him join our program.”
