Finlandia declaws the Sabercats
HANCOCK — Six players figured in the scoring as the Finlandia University women’s soccer team (6-6-2) rolled past Maranatha Baptist (1-12), 6-0, Saturday afternoon at McAfee Field.
Finlandia wasted no time in getting on the board as senior Erika Lambert scored just 11 seconds into the contest. The Lions scored twice in a two-minute span starting at the 8;34 mark to seal the game.
Finlandia had 27 shots with 18 on goal, eight corner kicks and were called for 13 fouls. Senior Addie Budzinski and Lambert had two goals each while sophomore Ally Herrick had two assists.
Maranatha Baptist had two shots with both on goal, one corner kick and was called for five fouls. Mallory Willette finished with 12 saves.

Finlandia takes to the road, Saturday, Oct. 22, playing Viterbo. The game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
