HANCOCK — Finlandia had an individual winner and two Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference selections for women’s soccer.  Members of the C2C are Christopher Newport, Finlandia, Mary Washington, Mount Mary, Pratt, Salisbury, UC Santa Cruz and Warren Wilson.

Senior Addie Budzinski was named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  Senior Daisia Knowles made first team while Budzinski was second team.

Budzinski closes out a strong career for Finlandia.  She has three goals with two assists for eight points in 16 games.  She helped the Lions to qualify for their fourth straight post-season tournament.  Budzinski is the all-time Finlandia leader in games played (68) and second in goals (16), assists (17) and points (49)

Budzinski was a three-time all-conference selection, three time all-conference academic, has a degree in Nursing and is working on a degree in Psychology.  She has a GPA of 3.75.

Knowles, an All-ACAA selection in 2018 and 19, has started all 16 games for the Lions this season.  She has been a key factor in the Lions posting eight shutouts this season, third best in the C2C.  Knowles is second in career games played (67) and ranks among the top five career with 11 goals and 27 points.
