HANCOCK — Junior Natalie Bartle has been named the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 23. Members of the C2C are Christopher Newport, Finlandia, Mount Mary, Mary Washington, Pratt, Salisbury, California-Santa Cruz and Warren Wilson.

This is the first time this season that a Finlandia player, male or female, has been recognized.

Bartle had an amazing week in helping the Lions go 2-0. She had a double-double with 30 points and a school record 13 steals in a 106-35 win over Maranatha Baptist on Friday (Jan. 20). The team points total was third highest in school history.

Bartle followed that with a double-double of 22 points and 11 assists in a 80-48 victory against Mount Mary on Saturday (Jan. 21). She is tied for third in single-season school steals, needing six for the record.
