HANCOCK — Freshman John Schutz had a career-night as he Finlandia University men’s basketball team (3-16) lost 118-76 to Wisconsin Lutheran (11-6), Wednesday night at the Paavo Nurmi Center.

For the first three and one-half minutes, Finlandia and Wisconsin Lutheran traded buckets. Junior Emmett Johnson hit a twisting lay-up at the 16:35 mark.

That tied the game at 10-10. The Warriors scored 15 straight points to take control.

For Finlandia, Schutz had 20 points and was 7-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-9 on three pointers. Freshman Jack Matrella scored 10 points and sophomore Logan Depew dished out seven assists.

For Wisconsin Lutheran, Jacob Stoltz had 20 points and five rebounds.
