Akins set to play at Finlandia University

HANCOCK — Elijah Akins (Bremerton, Wash.) has committed to play for the Finlandia University men’s soccer team. He is planning on majoring in Business.

Akins is in his senior year at Central Kitsap High School. As a junior, he helped the Cougars qualify for the Class 3A State Tournament for the first time in five years.

“I’m excited to have Elijah becoming part of Finlandia men’s soccer,” said Lions coach Thomas Goodman. “He is an outstanding keeper with great movement and distribution. With his dad in the military, Elijah has played soccer all around the world; that international experience is a big plus.”
