HOUGHTON — Freshman guard Alyssa Wypych has been named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week for week three, the league announced on Tuesday.

Wypych, hailing from Rockford, Michigan, led the Huskies in scoring in a weekend split, falling at No. 25 Minnesota Duluth (69-59) on Saturday before routing St. Cloud State (74-68) on Sunday.

She posted back-to-back career-highs in points with 19 against UMD and 20 at SCSU in almost 31 minutes per game. Wypych went 13-for-24 from the field and a notable 5-for-6 from 3-point range on Sunday. She also added a career-high three steals against the Huskies and a consistent 3-for-4 from the foul line each game.
