Lenz, Meister named to CSC All-District Team

HOUGHTON — Michigan Tech women’s basketball student-athletes Isabella Lenz and Katelyn Meister have been tabbed by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) to the 2023-24 Academic All-District team announced Tuesday.

Lenz, a junior shooting guard from Prescott, Wisconsin, earned First Team All-GLIAC accolades this season, leading the Huskies in minutes (34.7), points (12.7), assists, (3.6) and steals (1.4). She scored in double-figures 20 times in the 2023-24 campaign, with a career-high of 23 points coming against Saginaw Valley on Feb. 24. 

In the classroom, Lenz holds a perfect 4.0 GPA, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Scientific and Technical Communication. 

Meister, a senior guard hailing from Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, saved her best season for last, starting all 27 games while averaging over 10 points per game for the second season of her career at 10.7 per game. She became the 30th player in program history to score 1,000 career points and earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors, along with being named to the GLIAC All-Defensive Team. 

In the classroom, Meister holds a 3.89 GPA while studying Human Biology.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District Women’s Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately

recognizes women’s basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The CSC Academic All-District teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced April 16, 2024.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
