Lake Gogebic Fireflies host All Lake Garage Sale

The much anticipated All Lake Garage Sale hosted by the Lake Gogebic Fireflies, an auxiliary of the Lake Gogebic Fire Departments, will be held Saturday June 12 and Sunday June 13. With COVID-19 shutdowns putting the 2020 event on hold, this year the Fireflies will host the Lake Gogebic wide sale for both Saturday and Sunday. Governor Whitmer announces Michigan Economic Jumpstart Plan

LANSING — Governor Gretchen Whitmer joined local entrepreneurs and business leaders to unveil the Michigan Economic Jumpstart Plan, which would allocate a portion of the federal relief funding to support and invest in working people and small businesses in Michigan. LANSING – The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) invites the public to comment on the Title V Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Services Block Grant application. Title V of the Social Security Act of 1935, as amended, provides funding to states to improve the health of mothers, infants and children, including children with special health care needs. Less than a month left to apply for a Fostering Futures Scholarship

LANSING – Young adults who have experienced foster care on or after their 13th birthday have less than a month to apply for a scholarship from the Fostering Futures Scholarship Trust Fund, according to the Michigan Department of Treasury. The Fostering Futures Scholarship application period for academic year 2021-22 will stay open until June 30.
