June 14
• Bridgefest Music Lineup: • Noon Tom N Dirk, 4 p.m. Groove Candy, 9 p.m. Chad Borgan & The Collective
• Paavo’s Pack Walks present “Presley’s Puppy Party Fundraiser” noon to 2 p.m. at the Hancock dog park. Basket raffle, pet photography, recall races, pup art station and more. Cost: Donate what you can.
• Houghton County Fair Rummage Sale, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Hancock Driving Park. The Houghton County Fair will host a rummage sale in the fair’s exhibit building.
June 15
• The next Let’s Eat Community Meal will be organized and served at the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church at 900 Quincy Street in Hancock. The menu will be Sloppy Joes, cole slaw, fruit and dessert. and beverages. Come and enjoy the meal and get a chance to meet your neighbors and friends at the same time. (take-outs will also be available).
June 21
• Gay Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliar Bazaar & Sales, from noon – 3 p.m. Gay Community Hall 8878 2nd Street, Gay. This is the first sale of the year. We have new items arriving every week and now everything is on the main floor of the Community Center so we are full of goodies for the whole family. Each sale will have a Special Feature, this time, Perennials and Garden Accessories. Also, every sale will have new auction items to bid on. A free will donation lunch will be available for you to enjoy. Come join in the fun, have lunch and take home some good deals!

• Copper Country Community Mental Health Services’ Board meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in the Boardroom at Copper Country Mental Health’s Rice Memorial Center in Houghton.

‘How Sundials Helped Settle the American Frontier,’ by Mark Montgomery, 7 p.m. Eagle Harbor Community Center. Learn how William Burt came to invent the sun compass, used to further westward expansion in the U.S., as well as how this surveying instrument relates directly to U. P. history. Suggested donation: $5/person, part of Keweenaw County Historical Society’s “Adventures in History.”
