January 30

• “Women’s Rights Are Human Rights” Opening Reception, 5-7 p.m. Rozsa Center. An opening reception for the exhibit “Women’s Rights Are Human Rights” will take place including a musical performance by Feminist rock band A Certain Rage in the Rozsa Lobby from 6 – 6:30 p.m. The exhibit is free to the public and will remain open until March 28, 2026 during regular gallery hours

• Pigs-N-Heat Hockey Game, 6:30 p.m. MTU SDC. The annual Pigs-N-Heat hockey game raises money for the Copper Country Police and Fire Relief Fund, which assists victims of crimes and fires in our area. fundraiser. The evening is filled with hockey, raffles, door prizes, chuck-a-pucks and much fun. Doors open at 5 pm, games begin at 630 pm.

• Neighbor’s Table Community Meal, 5:30 – 7 p.m. Faith Lutheran Church, Calumet. The monthly Neighbor’s Table community meal will be served at Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet with take outs available between 6:30 and 7 p.m. All are welcome, at no charge.

January 31

• Keweenaw Pridefest Volunteer Info Session 10:30 a.m. – noon at the Portage Lake District Library. Do you want to be part of Keweenaw Pridefest? Stop by their informal info session in the PLDL Community Room, anytime between 10:30 a.m. and noon to get information.

February 2

• MI-TRALE meeting, 7 p.m. Stannard Township Hall, Bruce Crossing. Anyone interested in maintaining ATV and snowmobile trails in the western U.P. is invited. A ZOOM option is now available for virtual attendance of meetings. Contact Donna Wolf at mi-trale.pr@gmail.com for connection instructions.

February 5

• Blood Drive – Hancock, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Canal View – Houghton County, 1100 Quincy St, Hancock. The U.P. Regional Blood Center is holding this blood drive. Walk-ins are welcome.

February 7

• Barnelopet 2026, Free non-competitive kids’ ski race for ages 3-17. Registration 9:30 a.m. with the race starting at 10:30 a.m.AM. Location is Four Seasons Chalet on Maasto Hiito Trail, Hancock. Race distances: 1km, 2km, 4km, 6km. Medals, cookies, and hot chocolate distributed to participants. For more information and pre-registration go to skitigers.com

February 14

• South Range 4th of July Committee Presents the 14th Annual Valentine’s Day Dance at the Range Lounge in South Range. Dance is from 7 – 11 p.m. with a $5 entry fee.
