February 19
• Keweenaw Chamber Lunch and Learn, 11:45 a.m., Bluffs Senior Community. The Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce February Lunch and Learn program will feature a presentation about digital marketing. Chamber members are welcome at no charge; non-members are also welcome with a $10 fee for lunch. Advance registration is required – email info@keweenaw.org.
• Sustainability Film Series 7-9 p.m. Fisher Hall, MTU. “Farming While Black” a powerful cinematic exploration of the intersectionality of race, class, and agriculture, this film offers a vital lens through which one can examine historical and contemporary issues of land ownership, food sovereignty, and economic inequality.
February 20
• Blood Drive – Hancock, 11 .a.m. – 2 p.m. Hancock High School/Middle School. The U.P. Regional Boood Center will host a blood drive at Hancock High School. Walk-ins are welcome.
• CopperDog Volunteer Training, 5:30 p.m. Calumet High School. Spend an hour inside learning about how to handle dogs and safety procedures, then spend time outdoors with hands-on training. Many volunteers are needed to make our race work. See opportunities and sign up in the volunteer section at CopperDog.org.
February 21
• Winter Fest 4-7 p.m. Chassell School. The Chassell School will host its second annual Winter Fest, a free, family-friendly event, and the whole community is welcome. Activities include: Lantern-Lit Snowshoeing, Tales on the Trail, Epic Sledding, Bounce House,, Cake Walk, Cozy Campfire, Marshmallows and Hot Cocoa.
Bring your own snowshoes and sleds. Buy a $6 punch card to sample all the chili entries in the chili contest, vote for your favorite, and enjoy a full bowl of the best one. Proceeds will benefit the Parents and Teachers Together group.

• Pancake Breakfast, 8 a.m. – noon, Baraga American Legion Post 444. Baraga American Legion Post 444 will host a “Flippin’ for Hoops” breakfast fundraiser. For $12, enjoy pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon. Money raised will support the Baraga boys basketball team, and team members will be helping with serving. They will also have some gift basket giveaways.
• STEAM Saturday. 10 a.m. – noon Hancock Community Hub. Join Kaleidoscope for fun hands-on art and science activities! Free, family friendly event for ages 5 and up. No registration required. Email: sheriwerner@kaleidoscope-education.org
